Old farmhouse in the countryside around Santa Fiora, in an area called “La Selva”, known for the monastery of Benedictine nuns dating back to the first years of the 11th Century. The house is part of those properties belonging to lay farmers whose life was linked to that of the monastery.

A white road in good condition about 1.2 km long leads to the house.

The facace is typical of old houses, with vaulted storage space used for agricultural equipment. Currently these spaces are used as cellars and storage, perfectly intact with lovely vaulted ceilings. These areas could be tranformed in habitable space and linked to the main house upstairs.

The habitable part of the house is accessed from the rear, that faces east. The owners are presently living in the house and it is habitable, but has no central heating. Wood burners are used to heat the house during winter time.
